This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators with diverse experience.

• Create career progression paths, development strategies, succession planning, and performance benchmarks.

• Conduct routine performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and calibration activities.

• Promote accountability through quantifiable team objectives and operational KPIs.

• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and organizational structure.

• Encourage a culture of ownership, excellence in execution, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Establish and manage metrics regarding portfolio health, including schedule adherence, delivery quality, customer satisfaction, utilization, and financial performance using the TBE preferred PPM platform.

• Ensure that projects are adequately staffed and balanced across various PM levels.

• Set up operational rhythms for project reviews, escalation management, and decision-making processes.

• Define portfolio reporting and visibility regarding project status, risks, capacity, and forecasts.

• Act as an escalation point for delivery challenges and customer issues.

• Collaborate with PMs to address complex execution hurdles.

• Ensure that delivery teams maintain outstanding customer engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

• Support executive customer relationships and engage in strategic discussions with customers as needed.

• Promote consistency in customer communications, project governance, and delivery standards.

• Identify opportunities to enhance services and improve account health in collaboration with Sales.

• Represent customer priorities as the voice of the customer to Product and Operations leadership, facilitating a feedback loop.

• Develop and uphold PM standards, workflows, templates, and governance frameworks.

• Enhance project lifecycle processes from initiation through closure.

• Establish quality controls across project setup, reporting, change management, documentation, and customer deliverables.

• Collaborate with Operations and Product teams to identify automation opportunities and alleviate operational burdens.

• Drive the implementation and adoption of delivery tools and systems.

• Align delivery strategies with the product roadmap, Data Operations, Capture Technology, and Customer Success initiatives.

• Coordinate execution priorities across functions and eliminate organizational friction.

• Assist in the deployment of new products, workflows, and service offerings.

• Lead retrospectives and institutionalize learned lessons.

• Support the annual planning, forecasting, and budget development processes.

• Monitor team utilization, delivery capacity, and hiring requirements.

• Define operational metrics and dashboards to enhance predictability and execution.

• Contribute to organizational strategy and long-term scaling efforts.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Energy, Operations, or a related field.

• 8-10+ years of experience in project delivery, operations, construction technology, renewable energy, or similar industries.

• At least 3 years of direct people leadership experience managing PMs or equivalent delivery teams.

• Proven success in leading distributed or cross-functional teams.

• Strong experience in managing portfolios rather than just individual projects.

• Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, Primavera P6, Cora, Wrike, Project Insight, or similar).

• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation abilities.

• Capability to manage competing priorities across multiple customers and programs.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the year, primarily domestically to customer project sites and HQ offices.

• Master’s degree in engineering, project management, operations, or a related field. (Preferred)

• PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification. (Preferred)
