This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Establish robust relationships with retailers as a reliable Category advisor across all facets of the Beer sector.
• Create meaningful category analyses and consumer insights utilizing various syndicated and non-syndicated data sources.
• Integrate insights from multiple sources to craft clear and compelling selling narratives presented in an engaging format using PowerPoint.
• Effectively educate internal colleagues and external customers about growth prospects through clear and impactful communication.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to engage the external retailer buying teams in designated territories, aiming to uncover opportunities for expanding the Beer category.
• Utilize space planning software to merchandise the beer department effectively in alignment with category and retailer strategies.
• Must be local and present in: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island, or the metro NY area.
• A strong enthusiasm for the Beer industry is essential.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and organization is required.
• Moderate to sophisticated proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for structuring and visualizing presentation narratives is needed.
• Ability to comprehend information, generate insights, and identify opportunities when analyzing extensive data sets.
• Capability to translate discoveries and recommendations into a concise and persuasive selling narrative.
• Confidence in presenting insights, opportunities, and recommendations to internal or external stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in Category Management or Sales within the consumer packaged goods sector.
• Strong familiarity with syndicated data, software, and metrics (Circana/IRI, Nielsen, etc.) is important.
• Good knowledge of shopper panel information data, software, and metrics (Numerator, Circana/IRI, Nielsen, InfoScout, Retailer Loyalty data, etc.) is necessary.
• Experience with dashboarding software such as PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, or Spotfire is beneficial.
• Experience in shelf management and planograms creation (JDA, Apollo, etc.) is an asset.
• A positive attitude is essential.
• A self-starter who takes ownership of their work and drives results is preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail are crucial.
• Must be team-oriented.
