This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Oversee all non-execution activities within Asset Management to guarantee seamless operations;
• Take charge of all non-revenue related issues in Asset Management;
• Centralized management of all regulatory affairs pertaining to Asset Management with DFSA, SCA, and other relevant authorities;
• Manage and operate all interactions with business partners, including Administrators, Custodians, Registrars, Trustees, Auditors, Tax representatives, Lawyers, and Brokers in MENA and other regions for Asset Management;
• Ensure timely Dividend Payouts;
• Verify that the business complies with SOPs & guidelines and swiftly address any audit concerns.
• Collaborate with relevant compliance departments to coordinate all regulatory activities for Mashreq Capital;
• Continuously monitor via the BSC activity sheet and calendar;
• Re-engineer existing processes within Asset Management to implement best practices that are both risk-averse and conducive to business, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in workflows;
• Oversee all processes with internal departments at Mashreq to ensure prompt processing of all business requirements;
• Prepare weekly and monthly client reports for Asset Management;
• Liaise with multiple exchanges/counterparties to list new/existing funds on various stock exchanges, establish new funds, and facilitate fund liquidation;
• Coordinate with counterparties for the initiation and closure of broker & custody accounts;
• Manage the outsourced middle & back office vendor for Asset Management;
• Oversee the on-boarding processes for all Service Providers;
• Provide support for external & internal audits;
• Develop and manage frameworks, business plans, policies, SOPs, SLAs, and KPIs for Asset Management;
• Conduct RCSA testing for Asset Management;
• Handle the annual renewal of fund prospectus;
• Perform OPS function in AIM;
• Create and manage the Business Continuity Plan and its testing;
• Oversee all Corporate Governance-related activities and matters;
• Bachelor's degree with over 10 years of banking experience or equivalent, preferably in Asset Management;
• Strong understanding of local and international regulations;
• Proficient in computer use with strong spoken and written English skills;
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication abilities;
• Solid understanding of banking and asset management operations, including processes, procedures, and products;
• Keen attention to detail and quality, with a commitment to achieving results;
• Strong planning and organizational capabilities;
• Good grasp of operational risk management and corporate governance frameworks;
