This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Provides leadership and guidance to the Payment Posting team, encompassing hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and terminations.
• Plans, develops, implements, and communicates operational initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the Payment Posting team.
• Offers project oversight to effectively implement streamlined posting processes.
• Maintains and enhances departmental operations by monitoring system performance, identifying, and resolving issues.
• Manages communication and processes among departments involved in the revenue cycle, identifying areas for enhancement.
• Establishes productivity monitoring for departmental staff to optimize resources and outcomes.
• Tracks key performance metrics, addressing issues promptly to enhance performance and resolve challenges.
• Serves as a technical authority, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Billing and Payment Posting regulations.
• Ensures departmental adherence to HIPAA guidelines, HR policies, and other corporate initiatives.
• Develops and documents departmental processes and policies.
• Conducts regularly scheduled meetings to discuss compliance issues with established procedures and overall unit effectiveness.
• Proven experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations.
• Demonstrated success in leading a team within healthcare revenue cycle operations.
• Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of EOB interpretation.
• Possesses strong knowledge of healthcare billing requirements.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Two years of payment posting experience in Epic.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, finance, or a related field from an accredited institution (preferred).
• Education verification is required.
• Epic experience is preferred.
• Five years of experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle (Payment Posting, Claims, Billing, and Insurance Follow-up) is preferred.
• Three years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• HFMA Certification is preferred.
