Manager, Business Applications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop a remote team of system administrators and developers focused on business applications and BI platforms.

• Set clear role expectations, performance objectives, and career development plans for all team members.

• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and provide continuous feedback.

• Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture within the remote team.

• Oversee team delivery utilizing Agile methodologies with bi-weekly sprint cycles.

• Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure backlog preparedness and effective sprint planning.

• Ensure the execution of sprint ceremonies, including planning sessions, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Balance operational support, enhancement tasks, and technical debt within sprint commitments.

• Provide leadership oversight for Salesforce, NetSuite, BI platforms, and application integrations.

• Ensure compliance with SDLC, engineering standards, security protocols, and testing practices.

• Work with architecture, security, and peer application teams to maintain alignment.

• Define and track delivery and operational metrics such as velocity, sprint predictability, and defect trends.

• Leverage metrics to drive continuous improvement and guide leadership decisions.

• Identify tools and processes to enhance delivery efficiency and team performance.

• Serve as an escalation point for delivery and operational challenges.

• Collaborate with US-based application leaders to align priorities.

• Effectively communicate status, risks, and dependencies to leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Business Applications or related technology fields.

• Prior experience in people management, including performance evaluations.

• Hands-on experience with Agile delivery methodologies.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Familiarity with Salesforce, NetSuite, BI platforms, and data integrations.

• Proven track record in managing Agile teams within sprint-based delivery frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of SDLC and release management processes.

• Demonstrated capability to manage and inspire remote teams.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
