This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the administration of self-funded health and welfare programs, 401k retirement plans, and additional perk initiatives for the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico.
• Manage relationships with vendor partners, overseeing vendor contracts, compliance obligations, and invoicing processes.
• Focus on compliance activities related to the 401k retirement plan, including reporting, documentation, filings, and audit procedures.
• Analyze benchmarking data and internal metrics, collaborating with vendors and leadership to enhance benefit offerings that are innovative, market-competitive, and cost-effective to attract and engage talent.
• Direct benefits projects such as U.S. benefits annual enrollment, the annual 401k audit, and compliance activities including discrimination testing, ACA, updates to plan documents and SPDs, 5500 forms, and more.
• Lead the implementation of new plans, vendors, processes, and systems as required.
• Participate in special projects as needed, including acquisitions and modifications to benefit programs.
• Regularly collaborate with Payroll, Finance/Accounting, HR Operations, HR Technology, and external vendors to ensure accurate and efficient administration of processes.
• Address escalated issues, concerns, appeals, and claims in partnership with vendors and the Benefits team.
• Create and deliver training sessions for team members, managers, and HR partners regarding benefits programs, best practices, and associated processes.
• Identify and implement process enhancements that increase efficiency and improve employee experience and engagement.
• Supervise and develop two internal reports focusing on performance management, coaching, and career development.
• Stay updated on global benefits compliance and regulations in collaboration with external resources and monitor upcoming changes.
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Over 7 years of progressive experience in health and welfare benefits and 401k plans within fast-paced, growing organizations.
• At least 3 years of experience managing mid-sized or larger self-funded health and 401k plans.
• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or people management role.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience with Canada Benefits.
• Proficiency in Workday.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including formulas and data analysis, and familiarity with MS Office.
• Experience presenting in Microsoft Teams.
• Strong project management capabilities with the ability to oversee multiple projects from initiation to completion.
• Excellent vendor management skills.
• A diplomatic relationship builder with proven ability to collaborate across teams and influence outcomes.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for root cause analysis, trend analysis, and problem resolution.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and manage a high workload in a dynamic environment.
• Capable of presenting to various organizational levels and conveying information clearly and understandably.
• CEBS certification preferred.
