This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the team by clearly communicating expectations and ensuring alignment with Cotiviti’s strategic goals.
• Inspire team members through recognition at the individual, team, and departmental levels.
• Recruit and onboard new personnel, oversee current staff, and create and implement training and orientation initiatives.
• Guarantee that goals and standards are consistently achieved by eliminating barriers to outstanding performance.
• Supervise team responsibilities and ensure accountability for outcomes.
• Spearhead all new product initiatives, collaborating with Product Managers to ensure successful outcomes.
• Enhance business tools to foster innovation and improve coding-related content.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation and document standard operating procedures.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Information Management (HIM), or a related discipline is required.
• State licensure or AHIMA/AAPC coding certification (CPC, CPC-H, or CCS) is mandatory.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in healthcare, demonstrating expertise in Hospital, Home Health, Hospice, DME, SNF, or Physician Billing.
• A minimum of 3 years of medical record auditing experience, preferably at Cotiviti or a similar payment integrity organization.
• Prior management experience is essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (including Pivot tables), Access, and Outlook.
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare coding systems (CPT4, HCPCS, DRG, ICD-9, ICD-10, Modifiers, Revenue Codes, etc.) is required.
• Understanding of Medicare reimbursement methodologies, billing guidelines, and claim adjudication standards is necessary.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the capacity to mentor and educate.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with an emphasis on nurturing a collaborative and high-performance culture.
