• Directs and supervises the software development team focused on API services.
• Manages the design, development, and delivery of high-quality APIs.
• Ensures the upkeep, enhancement, and performance optimization of existing APIs.
• Works in collaboration with Application Administrators and PMO for API integration, help desk resolutions, and deliveries.
• Establishes and enforces standards and best practices for API development.
• Oversees team performance, including recruitment, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Engages in road mapping, budgeting, and other forecasting activities.
• Remains updated on API technologies and industry trends, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning.
• Guarantees that teams possess suitable solutions and technical specifications, guidance, and resources to deliver effectively by setting realistic timeline estimates.
• Develops a comprehensive technical understanding of existing software applications and their usage in daily business operations.
• Investigates, analyzes, and suggests new technologies and processes that enhance software quality, minimize development costs, and provide value to business users.
• Participates in software upgrades, build/buy decisions, and testing phases (unit & UAT).
• Involved in release and sprint planning as well as scrum meetings as necessary.
• Offers Tier III/IV support for resolving production system challenges.
• Collaborates on hardware specifications to ensure optimal software performance.
• Establishes and upholds documentation standards.
• Ensures compliance with SOC2 controls.
• Manages personal workload to meet established timelines.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of software development experience in ASP.NET and VB.net or C#.net, or 8+ years of experience managing a software development team.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL 2008 and later versions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams.
• Proficient in CRM, ERP, and Managed Services platforms.
• Knowledge of API models, architecture, and development.
• Experience with API iPaaS platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint (2013+).
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Proficient in Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
• Exposure to MVC/Razor and Web Services (WCF/Web API).
• Experience in Agile development methodologies.
