This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Possess hand and power tools (not supplied) and a work vehicle.

• Carry out both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work orders as directed.

• Ensure that resident concerns and service requests are resolved within 24 hours (for minor repairs and maintenance tasks) with regular updates to the Property Manager as instructed.

• Capable of adhering to and completing a daily, weekly, and monthly task schedule.

• Responsible for repairing and renovating both vacant and occupied units, as well as common areas.

• Undertake minor electrical and plumbing tasks as assigned (e.g., replacing lighting fixtures, toilets).

• Carry out cleaning duties as assigned, which may involve litter collection, sweeping, snow removal/plowing, lawn maintenance/exterior upkeep, or other tasks designated by the Property Manager.

• Basic knowledge of all relevant laws, regulations, and rights related to resident/landlord relations.

• Familiarity with the emergency operations of electrical systems, elevators, boilers, fire panels, safety systems, mechanical systems, sprinklers, and timer systems.

• Available for on-call responsibilities, including evenings and weekends. Work hours may vary according to operational demands.

• Must be equipped to manage emergencies occurring after normal business hours.

• Willingness to travel to various locations within the Kingston area.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills.

• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational abilities are essential.

• Competence in problem-solving, multitasking, and maintaining attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Must possess and maintain a valid Ontario G driver’s license in good standing (with a clean driver’s abstract).

• Eligible to work in Canada (subject to a criminal background check).

• High School Diploma along with 5+ years of relevant work experience.

• Prior experience in residential maintenance or a related field is preferred.

• WHMIS training and knowledge of applicable legislation regarding residential tenancies in Ontario, as well as the rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants, is an asset.
