Maintenance Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver outstanding service to residents while assisting fellow team members.

• Adhere to AIR’s procedures for executing basic apartment turns to ensure readiness for a seamless move-in experience for the next resident.

• Under general supervision, carry out resident-requested repairs and routine maintenance tasks (such as troubleshooting and repairing/replacing plumbing, basic electrical components, HVAC systems, and appliances, etc.).

• May offer functional or technical guidance and training to other Maintenance Technicians, aiding in the development of their technical skills.

• May contribute to managing vendor quality and may conduct move-in/move-out inspections.

• Responsibilities may vary based on the skillset of team members, community requirements, mechanical systems, and seasonal demands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a facilities or building environment.

• Proficient in at least two technical trades (such as plumbing, electrical work, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).

• Flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes evenings, weekends, 7-day work weeks (depending on community needs and seasonality), and on-call shifts (at least one week per month).

• Reliable transportation to respond to emergency service requests while on-call after hours.

• Comfort with physical activity, as the role requires the ability to move heavy equipment and machinery.

• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
