Maintenance Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.

📋 Description

• Execute a range of basic handyman tasks, applying existing knowledge of measuring, cutting, drilling, nailing, and assembling materials according to job specifications.

• Install various retail fixtures, railings, doors and door hardware, cabinetry, and decorative packages.

• Identify and troubleshoot issues to help develop long-term solutions.

• Exhibit advanced carpentry skills that are honed through years of experience.

• Successfully complete service calls while adhering to appropriate and safe procedures.

• Communicate comfortably with clients and the EWB Maintenance Department team regularly to remain informed about critical steps for project advancement.

• Demonstrate integrity, compassion, and empathy when interacting with clients, embodying the culture at EWBI.

• Take pride in workmanship and craftsmanship, promoting the same work ethic among colleagues and subcontractors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance (or a similar field) is required.

• At least 3 years of experience in commercial construction is necessary.

• A minimum of 3 years’ retail carpentry experience is required.

• Plumbing experience is an advantage.

• Proficient in reading blueprints and familiar with construction methods.

• Capable of performing general physical tasks typical of carpentry roles (lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, bending, standing, climbing, repetitive motion, and using hand tools).

• Previous experience in planning, laying out, and executing both interior and exterior carpentry is beneficial.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

• Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License, have a good driving record, reliable transportation, and pass a clean background check.

• Proven track record of working safely and following safety standards.

• Must be willing to accommodate extended travel to job sites, including overnight stays for up to 1 week.
