Maintenance Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Execute a range of fundamental handyman tasks utilizing existing skills in measuring, cutting, drilling, nailing, and assembling materials according to job specifications.

• Install various retail fixtures, railings, doors along with door hardware, cabinetry, and decorative packages.

• Identify and troubleshoot issues to aid in developing long-term solutions.

• Complete the onboarding program within the first week, which includes essential safety training, equipment certification, CPR, and OSHA training if not previously completed.

• Efficiently handle service calls while adhering to appropriate and safe procedures.

• Employ time management skills to adhere to the job schedule, ensuring that work meets quality standards, original plans, specifications, and deadlines.

• Comfortably communicate with clients and the EWB Maintenance Department team regularly to stay informed on critical steps necessary for advancing projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of maintenance (or equivalent) experience is required.

• At least 3 years of commercial construction experience is necessary.

• A minimum of 3 years of retail carpentry experience is essential.

• Plumbing experience is considered an advantage.

• Ability to read blueprints and possess knowledge of construction methods.

• Capable of performing general physical tasks typical of a carpentry role (lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, bending, standing, climbing, repetitive motion, and using hand tools).

• Prior experience in layout, planning, and executing both interior and exterior carpentry is a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

• Must hold a valid CA Driver’s License, have a clean driving record, reliable transportation, and pass a background check.

• Proven history of working safely and adhering to safety standards.

• Willingness to travel to work sites and stay overnight for up to one week as needed.
