Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift, Black Seal High-Pressure Boiler Operator License

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Carrying out all responsibilities with safety as a top priority while adhering to established GMPs, Safety Regulations, and Strata's Foodservice procedures and policies.

• Assisting in ensuring full departmental compliance with safety protocols to achieve our goal of zero accidents and promoting the reporting of near misses.

• Capable of reading, interpreting, and developing corrective action work orders when necessary.

• Utilizing, responding to, and documenting all scheduled and unscheduled work orders in the DirectLine CMMS system.

• Identifying high-risk safety or productivity concerns and actively working to address them.

• Conducting routine preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment as needed.

• Servicing and repairing plant facility equipment such as air compressors, heat exchangers, boilers, wastewater systems, etc.

• The employee must be able to troubleshoot equipment when line operators encounter issues with production lines.

• Finding solutions to line breakdowns can range from simple to complex.

• Engaging with line operators during troubleshooting; must be able to listen and ask pertinent questions to effectively identify and resolve the issue.

• Providing support to other maintenance staff as needed and assigned.

• Training other employees in relevant areas of expertise.

• Seeking opportunities to enhance work efficiency in a safer, faster, and more cost-effective manner.

• Contributing to efforts aimed at controlling costs and reducing waste in daily operations.

• Supporting cost control objectives with minimal parts sparing while aligning with production goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledgeable in and possess effective troubleshooting skills for mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

• Proficient in reading schematics and utilizing basic electrical measuring instruments.

• Must possess a Black Seal High-Pressure Boiler Operator License.

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.

• Strong problem-solving and mathematical skills.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in oil, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, or process manufacturing facilities.

• More than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
