Maintenance HVAC & Refrigeration Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Perform preventative, reactive, and scheduled maintenance and repair services on heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems at client locations.

• Maintain generators, switchboards, and air-conditioning systems, including Chillers, AHUs, CRAC Units, and FCUs.

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment utilizing hand tools and power tools.

• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and malfunctions.

• Conduct equipment inspections as part of preventative maintenance job plans.

• Inspect and maintain refrigerators and chilled water supply systems.

• Ensure proper ventilation of equipment and controls to promote efficient and continuous operation.

• Participate in an after-hours roster and perform after-hours repair and maintenance tasks as needed.

• Review work orders following site visits and collaborate with coordinators to identify more efficient and cost-effective processes.

• Conduct building inspections and deliver subsequent reports.

• Submit completed weekly documentation, including signed work orders, purchase orders, and risk assessments, adhering to company deadlines and policies/procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant technical qualifications in the Refrigeration Mechanical HVAC trade.

• Valid Driver's Licence.

• Police Check clearance.

• First Aid Certificate.

• Elevated Work Platform certification (Under 11m).

• Construction Induction Card (White Card).

• A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in HVAC & Refrigeration mechanical work for both small and large scale commercial and retail facilities.

• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and adhere to a defined schedule within tight deadlines.

• Experience with larger systems and critical environments involving chillers is highly desirable.
