Maintenance and Reliability Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.

📋 Description

• Accountable for enhancing the uptime, performance, and longevity of industrial machinery and equipment across various locations.

• Implement optimal maintenance strategies, conduct data analysis, and perform root cause analysis to decrease equipment failures and lessen unplanned downtime.

• Provide hands-on, field-based assistance for safety-critical production machinery.

• Manage installation, repairs, retrofits/upgrades, and maintenance tasks; coordinate labor efforts; and facilitate both on-site and remote diagnostics.

• Act as a reliable escalation resource, offer technical leadership, drive process improvements, and ensure the dependable, safe, and efficient operation of equipment across the company’s global presence.

• Develop clear, field-ready technical documentation, which includes: Automated press brake operating instructions, preventive maintenance programs, and procedures for reliability, efficiency, and performance enhancement.

• Propel process optimization based on actual production scenarios and field expertise.

• Provide secure, real-time remote diagnostics and troubleshooting through software applications.

• Deliver advanced technical support for press brake systems.

• Execute remote fault isolation to minimize downtime and enhance first-time fix rates.

• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to avert equipment failures and monitor technical requirements and adherence to safety regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred Bachelor's degree with over 6 years of relevant experience, Associate's degree with over 8 years of relevant experience, or 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

• Proficiency in configuring, backing up, diagnosing, and troubleshooting industrial control systems using: Cybelec / VisiTouch, Siemens Step7 v5.4+ SP1 with WinCC Flexible, Advanced 2005 SP1 HF7, PRONETA for ProfiBus and ProfiNet diagnostics, SICK CDS Program and FlexiSoft Designer, ETIC M2Me Connect for secure remote diagnostics and live PLC monitoring, Kollmorgen S600 and DriveGUI for servo amplifier backups, diagnostics, and modifications, Schneider Electric SoMove for VFD backups, diagnostics, and modifications.

• Ability to configure, diagnose, validate, and support machine safety systems, including: safety scanners and safety PLC systems.

• Familiarity with mechanical tools - tape measures, thread gauges, micrometers, protractors, square combination and dial calipers.

• Knowledge of electrical test equipment, meters, and other similar devices.

• Capacity to stand, move, and perform as outlined in the demand summary.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

• Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints or process sheets in an industrial or construction setting.

• Experience in operating man lifts, forklifts, and other equipment within an industrial environment.
