This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee the project management of software migration initiatives for clients utilizing the IBM Z platform.
• Collaborate with management to evaluate project proposals, establish objectives, timelines, funding constraints, methodologies for execution, and resource allocation.
• Assess the necessity for and deliver essential project management for planning and execution, including the creation of project plans.
• Report on project activities, changes in scope, challenges, and requirements to the leadership team, serving as a strategic tool to guide implementers and decision-makers towards aligned business or mission objectives.
• Maintain communication with management both internally and with clients regarding ongoing status, milestones, and project risks.
• Review and analyze processes and procedures to identify opportunities for enhancement and increased efficiencies, then assist in implementing these improvements.
• Monitor, evaluate, and enhance the effectiveness of program best practices, ensuring continuous process and quality improvement with a primary emphasis on the client account.
• Experience with IBM Z Mainframe systems.
• Proven track record in managing IBM Z software migration projects and leading cross-functional technical teams while overseeing scope, cost, schedule, risk, and contractual deliverables.
• Proficient in coordinating workstreams to substitute competitive/ISV products with IBM solutions.
• A minimum of five years of experience in technical project management.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification, demonstrating a solid understanding of operations and project management skills.
• Experience in leading cross-functional technical teams, holding overall accountability for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual obligations, including utilizing techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management.
• Strong skills in stakeholder communication, status reporting, risk management, and governance.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
