This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Become a member of the development team, engaging in development tasks for each Sprint.
• Undertake activities related to development, including analysis and design, programming, testing, and requirements gathering.
• Oversee your workload, promptly informing the team of any delays or obstacles encountered.
• Demonstrated proactivity, teamwork, self-management, and decision-making abilities, along with strong communication skills (proficient in articulating ideas clearly and accurately both orally and in writing, and adept at comprehending written and spoken communications), strong analytical skills and capability to tackle complex problems, abstraction skills, and an understanding of how information systems function based on practical experimentation and observation.
• Knowledge of agile software development principles and practices, including the Agile Manifesto, Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), and Kanban methodologies.
• Experience in analyzing functional, non-functional, and agile requirements.
• Familiarity with tools for testing and automating COBOL tests.
• Proficiency in programming with Enterprise COBOL 4.0 or newer.
• Understanding of the IBM platform (z/OS, DB2, CICS, JCL, TSO, MainView, Strobe, and Control-M).
• Background in working as an analyst on Mainframe platforms.
• Knowledge of relational database modeling and assessing database performance.
• Familiarity with VSAM data files.
• Understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Awareness of code quality and performance analysis for mainframe applications.
• Experience with CICS access interfaces, CICS/WEB, Broker, and MQ Series.
• Proficiency in software testing techniques: unit testing, integration testing, system/functional testing, acceptance/story testing, load testing, performance testing, vulnerability testing, usability, and accessibility. Automation of functional, unit, and load tests using software tools.
• Knowledge of source code version control concepts and related tools.
• Experience and knowledge in Configuration and Change Management practices.
• Familiarity with design patterns and programming best practices.
• Experience using IBM tools (z/OS, DB2, RDZ, Omegamon, CICS IA, MainView), Eccox (QC-Cobol and QC-DB2), Computer Associates (CA SCM and CA GEN), Compuware (Abend-AID, Xpediter, File-AID, and Strobe), BMC (Control-M) or their equivalents.
• Knowledge of systems integration techniques: Messaging, JMS, Web services, Service Bus (WebSphere Message Broker), REST, EJB 3.
