πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Collaborate within small, hands-on teams during the on-site execution of MCU/UTR tasks.

β€’ Carry out MCU operations as instructed by the MCU Lead, which includes significant crane activities utilizing GE MCU teams, local GE personnel, third-party contractors, and crane suppliers.

β€’ Examine all primary components to verify their condition and ensure they are the correct type or configuration for the turbine.

β€’ Review and confirm Inventory Tooling, Parts, and any additional items necessary for MCU functions.

β€’ Understand the directives of GE manuals, specifications, and bulletins, completing assigned tasks in accordance with GE work protocols.

β€’ Fulfill all required documentation related to MCU / UTR execution.

β€’ Collect data to generate reports on completed MCU/UTR operations.

β€’ Ensure all tasks are executed following the organization's JSA, LOTO, EHS, and relevant policies and procedures.

β€’ Promptly report errors, violations, incidents, or issues using GE reporting systems.

β€’ Submit inquiries to Engineering to address technical challenges and respond to questions from Management, Engineering, Sourcing, and Project Teams as needed.

β€’ Make decisions regarding conformance or non-conformance after inspections and report to the MCU lead/FPM/CMS as required.

β€’ Participate in a roster to work weekends and nights as needed or instructed by management.

β€’ Conduct high voltage switching operations in accordance with site procedures when required.

β€’ Familiarize yourself with and adhere to all EHS policies and procedures relevant to your role, reporting any injuries, spills, near misses, or related incidents, along with any concerns regarding potential violations of this policy.

β€’ Assist with GE investigations and EHS audits, and notify fellow employees of unsafe actions and conditions to their Manager, Supervisor, and EHS Manager/Coordinator.

β€’ Complete all mandatory EHS Training.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Must be either a qualified Electrician with the appropriate Australian electrical license and strong mechanical skills, or a qualified Mechanical tradesperson with electrical knowledge.

β€’ Skilled in diagnosing issues with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment.

β€’ Background in general wind farm operations, maintenance, installation, and heavy lift main component exchanges.

β€’ Intermediate level training in computer skills is required.

β€’ Must possess the necessary eligibility, at the time of application, to work in Australia (e.g., Permanent Resident of Australia, Australian Citizen, or New Zealand Citizen).

β€’ Willingness and capability to travel nationally or internationally for work and training as part of a 3-week on, 1-week off schedule.
