Machine Learning Engineer – Modeling, Algorithms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• **Algorithm Development:** Create and train models aimed at addressing specific physical challenges (such as detecting machine uptime or predicting production counts).

• **Signal Processing:** Utilize statistical techniques on raw time-series data to derive significant features and minimize noise.

• **Validation:** Establish and track metrics (accuracy, recall, precision) to assess model performance using real-world data before and after deployment.

• **Model Serving:** Build and sustain RESTful APIs (leveraging frameworks like FastAPI) to make your models available for real-time inference.

• **Production Standards:** Write clean, modular, and testable Python code, incorporating version control, unit tests, and adhering to software design patterns.

• **Performance Optimization:** Analyze and enhance model inference code to ensure minimal latency and optimal resource utilization.

⛳️ Requirements

• **Education:** A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or Engineering.

• **Modeling Core:** A solid understanding of probability, statistics, and linear algebra, along with practical experience in Time-Series Analysis and Signal Processing.

• **Python Proficiency:** Advanced skills in Python and familiarity with the data science ecosystem (including Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow).

• **Software Engineering:** Experience in developing production-grade software, with a strong comfort level in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and creating API endpoints.

• **Testing:** Regular use of testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest) to ensure the reliability of algorithms.

• **Data Handling:** Expertise in SQL for data querying and analysis.
