Machine Learning Engineer – Autonomy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance CVML models and training pipelines for perception tasks such as segmentation and depth estimation, with an emphasis on safety and performance in demanding production environments.

• Take ownership of the complete ML development lifecycle, from initial prototyping to production-scale deployment on both edge and cloud platforms.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate perception models into Blue River's autonomous tractor project.

• Assess and enhance model performance through implementation, testing, and metric analysis on large-scale datasets.

• Utilize machine learning and computer vision techniques to tackle real-world agricultural challenges and promote advancements in autonomous farming.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; a graduate degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in developing high-performance ML systems, along with training and optimizing DNNs for segmentation, depth, and related perception tasks using large-scale datasets.

• Proficient in Python and experienced with PyTorch/TensorFlow.

• Strong understanding of vision and deep learning principles.

• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and for integrating models into edge and cloud systems.
