Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable machine learning models that enhance and automate logistics processes.

• Manage projects from start to finish, including problem identification, data analysis, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure alignment of ML efforts with client requirements.

• Deliver features that contribute to business success.

• Act as a technical leader and mentor in the machine learning domain.

• Review code and uphold best practices for reproducibility, quality, and performance.

• Assess and integrate tools and frameworks to enhance ML infrastructure and workflows.

• Contribute to the evolution of Canals as it expands with its customer base.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level experience in building and deploying machine learning models within production settings.

• Proficient in designing scalable data pipelines and handling large datasets.

• Proven track record of managing projects and ensuring models provide quantifiable customer benefits.

• Strong proficiency in Python.

• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.

• Knowledge of data manipulation tools like Pandas and Spark.

• Capability to conduct code reviews and offer architectural insights.

• Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, product-oriented environment.

• Previous involvement with high-growth startups or small teams is advantageous.

• Understanding of MLOps practices and tools is a plus.
