This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The M&A Corporate Development Associate is responsible for executing corporate development and acquisition initiatives. In this position, you will manage all facets of the M&A process, which includes identifying opportunities, assessing acquisition targets, performing due diligence, constructing financial models, and facilitating transaction execution. As the M&A Corporate Development Associate, you will deliver analytical and strategic support to foster the ongoing growth of our dynamic company. A-LIGN will rely on your expertise to aid in acquisition strategy, transaction execution, and corporate development efforts.

• Pay Classification: Full-Time, Exempt
• Responsibilities:
• Assist in managing the comprehensive M&A process, collaborating with internal stakeholders, advisors, and external parties to ensure timely deal progression.
• Evaluate confidential information memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, and data rooms; summarize findings into clear investment theses and recommendations.
• Develop and sustain financial models, including valuation, LBO/return analysis, and buyside and synergy cases to facilitate deal assessment.
• Construct and maintain the acquisition pipeline; proactively identify and evaluate targets in conjunction with A-LIGN senior leadership.
• Cultivate relationships with investment bankers, brokers, and intermediaries to identify and monitor opportunities.
• Lead and coordinate diligence workstreams, encompassing financial, commercial, legal, technical, and HR diligence activities.
• Prepare materials for investment committees and boards, including target summaries, deal memos, and recommendation presentations.
• Support negotiation, structuring, and execution efforts, including letters of intent (LOIs), purchase agreements, and integration planning in collaboration with deal counsel.
• Maintain pipeline trackers, market maps, and competitive landscape analyses across A-LIGN’s core and adjacent markets.
• Collaborate with corporate strategy on build-vs-buy analyses, opportunity sizing for new services and markets, and tracking post-close integration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or corporate development.
• Proven experience with M&A processes, including diligence, valuation, execution, and sourcing.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities.
• Exceptional written and analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex information into clear recommendations.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Highly organized self-starter capable of managing multiple projects and senior stakeholders under deadline pressure.
• Ability to meet deadlines with a strong sense of motivation.
