• This position is remote but must be situated within a reasonable distance from a significant metropolitan airport.
• The Business Development role at SunSource is essential for driving profitable growth by developing and implementing SunSource’s acquisition strategy. The M&A Business Development Market Manager plays a crucial role within the team, collaborating across various functions (Sales, Marketing, Legal, Human Resources, Finance, etc.) to identify and assess acquisition opportunities. This role involves leading the process from acquisition through to integration, truly making it a full life-cycle position.
• In this capacity, it is crucial to fully engage with the industrial distribution sector to assess acquisition prospects within our targeted technology areas. Building a network with both internal and external stakeholders will be of utmost importance.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, and/or sales.
• Over 3 years of buy-side experience in identifying target companies and initiating the buy/sell process in Mergers and Acquisitions.
• More than 10 years of experience in the Industrial, Fluid Power, and Automation distribution sectors.
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Excel, PowerPoint, and related software.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
