This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide technical assistance to Claim Teams, including reviews of Claim Authorization, and act as a Subject Matter Expert on complex issues.
• Facilitate enhancements in initial claim decisions, Claim Management Accuracy, and turnaround times for CID.
• Utilize automation and/or alternative sourcing methods to manage additional responsibilities.
• Collaborate across all business lines to advocate for best practices that enhance efficiency.
• Participate in at least one interdepartmental collaboration team to promote favorable outcomes, supporting various functional areas and fostering organizational awareness.
• Use data analytics to enhance results in claim management.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in handling LTD claims.
• Previous experience in Disability Insurance or a comparable field.
• At least 1 year of experience in providing feedback to front-line staff and supervisors.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Proven skills in training both individuals and teams.
• Ability to mentor and coach staff and peers to ensure accurate claim adjudication and support staff development.
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Demonstrated competency in identifying and managing risks.
• Self-driven and motivated.
• Extensive knowledge of Group Long Term Disability products, administration, and claims processes.
• Strong proficiency in PC applications (including Microsoft Office, databases, imaging systems, etc.).
• Advanced understanding of the financial, medical, occupational, and investigative components of disability claims management.
• Excellent PC skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
