This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and secure work environment.
• Utilize company tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, construction drawings, and installation documentation.
• Lay out low-voltage systems according to project specifications.
• Install, terminate, test, and certify structured cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling.
• Install and terminate low-voltage cabling for access control systems.
• Set up speaker cabling and telecommunications equipment such as routers, switches, and network devices.
• Install raceways, conduits, sleeves, cable trays, and access panels in existing structures.
• Construct and organize MDF and IDF rooms.
• Install network racks, cabinets, patch panels, and cable management systems.
• Conduct fiber optic fusion splicing and assist with fiber testing.
• Accurately label all cables, ports, and equipment while keeping installation documentation and inventory updated.
• Complete projects efficiently while ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Perform site assessment surveys to evaluate existing conditions and aid in installation planning.
• Troubleshoot installation challenges and identify corrective measures using professional testing equipment.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, suppliers, project managers, and fellow technicians.
• Collaborate effectively as part of an installation team while also executing assigned tasks independently.
• Accurately complete project documentation on time.
• Represent the company professionally at client locations.
• At least 5 years of practical experience in low-voltage cabling.
• Journeyman Electrician License or completion of an electrical apprenticeship.
• Experience in installing commercial structured cabling systems.
• Proficiency in fiber optic termination, fusion splicing, and testing.
• Familiarity with greenfield and brownfield commercial construction projects.
• Experience working in occupied hotels or other active commercial settings.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards and industry best practices.
• Experience in installing raceways, conduits, sleeves, and access panels.
• Skilled in building and organizing MDFs and IDFs.
• Proficient in terminating patch panels, keystone jacks, RJ45 connectors, and fiber optic systems.
• Experience conducting site surveys.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and Smartsheet.
• Ability to utilize computers, tablets, smartphones, Microsoft Teams, and online construction management platforms.
• Proficient with professional cable and fiber testing equipment and capable of analyzing results and troubleshooting faults.
• Ability to read and comprehend scopes of work, construction drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on minimizing downtime.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with a focus on labeling and documentation.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to remain calm and professional amid changing priorities and schedules.
• Experience operating scissor lifts and one-man lifts.
• BICSI certification or other industry-recognized credentials preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening and meet customer/site-specific background requirements.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
