Lost Time Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the investigation, assessment, resolution, and settlement of Workers’ Compensation claims.

• Direct and manage the claim file, including the determination of indemnity.

• Address legal components of the file during settlement negotiations.

• Keep the system diary updated, ensuring all records comply with company standards and State timelines.

• Assess files for reserve potential and settlement opportunities.

• Timely document and communicate all claim-related activities.

• Engage extensively with various stakeholders involved in the claims process.

• Manage EDI requirements according to state regulations and company procedures in an efficient manner.

• Effectively handle status reports and claim reviews with clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Adjuster license (FL 5-24, 5-20 or 6-20).

• At least three years of relevant claims experience in Florida with a consistent record of high performance and achievement.

• In-depth understanding of industry standards and practices, including applicable case law.

• Proven ability to negotiate settlements and resolve claims, along with the capacity to interpret related documentation.

• Stay informed about current trends, standards, and legislative changes.

• Proficient in operating a personal computer and utilizing relevant claims and business software.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

• Competent in delivering status updates during claims meetings with clients.
