This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Early-Stage Risk Intervention: Oversee and assess loans flagged for potential delinquency, performance concerns, or borrower difficulties.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers to analyze borrower situations and pinpoint possible resolution pathways.
• Conduct outreach to borrowers to collect updated financial and project-related information.
• Loss Mitigation Strategy Execution: Assess potential solutions such as loan payment plans, short-term forbearance, loan extensions, partial paydowns, and adjustments to exit strategies.
• Recommend suitable mitigation strategies that are in accordance with company risk guidelines.
• Maintain professional communication with borrowers regarding overdue accounts and available mitigation options.
• Document borrower interactions and action plans in servicing systems.
• Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor the status of all active mitigation cases.
• Ensure that follow-up actions and deadlines are adhered to.
• Maintain precise records and reporting related to mitigation efforts.
• Internal Coordination: Work in conjunction with Servicing, Relationship Managers, Legal, and Special Assets teams as necessary.
• Escalate cases that cannot be resolved through mitigation to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
• Process Improvement & Innovation: Actively seek opportunities to enhance workflows, boost efficiency, and improve the borrower experience. Utilize available technology and AI-powered tools to streamline administrative tasks, enhance communication, and aid in decision-making.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in loan servicing, loss mitigation, collections, or asset management.
• Excellent borrower communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze borrower financial data and evaluate repayment capacity.
• Experience managing delinquent or at-risk loan portfolios.
• Familiarity with real estate lending, bridge loans, or construction lending is preferred.
• Background in private lending, mortgage servicing, or commercial lending is preferred.
• Previous experience with AI tools is advantageous.
• Knowledge of loan servicing platforms and CRM systems is preferred.
