This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a designated portfolio of workers' compensation policyholders within a specific geographic area.
• Perform on-site loss control evaluations, risk assessments, and follow-up visits to assess workplace hazards, employee exposures, and safety management practices.
• Recognize operational risks that contribute to workplace injuries and losses related to workers' compensation.
• Create detailed reports that document findings, assess controls, and offer actionable recommendations.
• Analyze loss history and claims data to identify patterns and prioritize opportunities for risk enhancement.
• Collaborate with employers to establish, execute, and refine injury and illness prevention programs, safety policies, and loss prevention strategies.
• Provide insights on OSHA regulations, industry best practices, and strategies for managing workers' compensation risk.
• Conduct safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and educational presentations.
• Work in partnership with Underwriting on account selection, pricing, renewals, and strategies for risk enhancement.
• Cooperate with Claims and Underwriting on significant or complex losses and necessary corrective actions.
• Keep thorough records of inspections, service plans, activity reports, and communications with customers.
• Remain updated on occupational safety regulations, industry trends, and emerging workplace hazards.
• Engage in marketing presentations, departmental projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and other assigned responsibilities.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Risk Management, Engineering, Safety Sciences, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 7 years of experience in Workers Compensation loss control or related insurance roles is required.
• A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is necessary.
• OSHA 30 certification is mandatory.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, ARM, or other occupational safety credentials are preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to rapidly learn company-specific software are essential.
• Capacity to work collaboratively with team members and across departments.
• Flexibility to adapt, embrace change, and quickly adjust to shifting priorities.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory by automobile and occasional air travel is required.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
