This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Act as the primary instructor and teacher of record.
• Diligently strive to achieve all objectives related to student success and culture, along with state-specific academic accountability standards.
• Provide highly effective live lessons through web conferencing, tailored to student needs and grounded in research-based instructional methodologies.
• Set up courses within the Learning Management System for each subject being taught.
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and offer daily feedback and grading for assignments.
• Maintain regular contact with each student to track their progress.
• Work alongside the Principal to design and deliver Student Progress Reports.
• Frequently analyze student-level data to guide adjustments in the instructional program.
• Differentiate teaching methods to cater to the diverse needs of all students.
• Implement research-informed best practices in both synchronous and asynchronous learning environments.
• Foster a joyful, nurturing, and supportive classroom ambiance for every student.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching strategies into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Enforce school-wide cultural expectations and norms, both inside and outside the classroom.
• Maintain regular communication with families regarding their child's academic and social-emotional development.
• Incorporate 21st-century technology skills into everyday classroom practices and team collaborations.
• Engage in the planning and execution of non-instructional activities, such as social events and field trips, and participate in these events in person.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively, with humility and respect, with all colleagues.
• Travel annually to support required in-person state testing.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• Valid Washington teaching license in the relevant content area.
• Residency in Washington is mandatory.
• Familiarity with State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• A minimum of two years’ teaching experience is preferred.
• Comfort working within a growth-focused coaching environment characterized by frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook.
• Ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
• Capability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
• Ability to supervise students across all school settings.
• Must successfully pass federal and state criminal background checks.
• Experience in a multicultural setting is preferred.
