This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
β’ Oversees a caseload of intricate claims that encompass various eligibility categories, policy conditions, and/or multiple diagnoses and claim factors.
β’ Evaluates and processes claims by conducting thorough investigations and gathering a diverse array of complex information.
β’ Implements claims policies and procedures while appropriately engaging internal and external resources to ensure fair, ethical, and timely management of assigned claims.
β’ Employs judgment and expertise in claims management to make decisions based on the information available at the time of the decision.
β’ Analyzes and interprets complex coverage contracts to ascertain if eligibility requirements are satisfied.
β’ Effectively oversees time management and desk organization; mentors others on techniques and systems for organizing and prioritizing work while staying updated on caseloads.
β’ Identifies and resolves discrepancies in financial calculations and offsets when necessary, sharing technical knowledge and methodologies regarding financial calculations with team members.
β’ Accurately interprets calculations involving complex contract provisions and collaborates with relevant resources as needed to address issues.
β’ Recognizes and emphasizes to junior team members the significance of making correct and precise eligibility decisions and benefit calculations.
β’ Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience in place of a Bachelor's degree (Minimum Required)
β’ 1 - 3+ years of claims experience directly related to the specific responsibilities of this role (Required)
β’ Ability to perform effectively under stress in emergency, critical, or hazardous situations.
β’ Capacity to collaborate with others in a team-oriented environment.
β’ Proven strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g., management, peers, and colleagues).
β’ Exhibits excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and multitask while maintaining a strict attention to detail.
