This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead the regional sales team by recruiting, nurturing, and retaining top-tier talent.
• Provide strategic guidance and performance coaching to ensure team excellence.
• Drive the implementation of sales strategies in the region to meet or surpass sales goals.
• Develop targeted strategies for the psychiatric and neurological markets.
• Identify regional opportunities and eliminate obstacles to team success.
• Foster innovative sales approaches and promote best practices.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to guide strategic decision-making.
• Hold the team accountable for executing sales strategies and achieving objectives.
• Regularly spend time with each account specialist in the field to observe and coach their performance.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback and development opportunities.
• Manage regional budgets and expenses with efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Neurocrine policies, FDA regulations, and industry standards.
• Maintain open lines of communication between field teams and headquarters.
• Develop and sustain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
• BS/BA degree AND 8+ years of sales experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, including 3+ years in first-line sales management typically acquired through progressively responsible sales roles.
• Demonstrated history of success in building OR a Master's degree preferred AND 6+ years of relevant experience as mentioned above.
• OR a PhD AND 4+ years of relevant experience as mentioned above.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Intellectual curiosity with the ability to challenge the status quo.
• Capable of leading through ambiguity and providing the team with directional clarity rather than seeking perfect answers.
• Knowledge of best practices within functional disciplines and related business concepts.
