This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversee, coordinate, and manage daily logistics operations.
• Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to plan and evaluate logistics processes, ensuring compliance with company standards and customer service requirements.
• Develop work schedules and procedures, coordinating employee activities for optimal logistics performance during shifts.
• Take responsibility for site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Work in partnership with the customer on all operational aspects.
• Meet regularly with team members to assess progress, monitor performance, provide coaching and counseling, and acknowledge achievements.
• Foster team spirit through Diversity and Inclusion initiatives while enhancing internal processes.
• Conduct performance evaluations for team members and suggest performance awards or merit increases when suitable.
• Address performance issues using corrective actions and disciplinary measures when necessary.
• Comprehend labor agreements and maintain positive labor relations.
• Implement health, safety, and security initiatives, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Provide orientation and essential information, technology, and materials to employees and Lead Hands.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Zero to one (1) year of direct supervisory or leadership experience is required.
• At least one (1) year of experience in a transportation, warehouse, or distribution environment is preferred.
• Capability to supervise, coordinate, and manage logistics operations.
• Strong planning, leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management and follow-up skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels.
• Understanding of labor agreements and labor relations.
