This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Develop optimized, DOT-compliant multi-stop routes.
• Enhance delivery efficiencies utilizing routing software to maximize fleet use and minimize costs.
• Execute daily route publication and processing, including special deliveries for designated business units.
• Sustain daily routing procedures, processes, and updates.
• Evaluate routes using metrics such as miles per stop, units per hour, units per mile, and route profitability.
• Assess route performance to optimize fleet utilization and reduce returned products.
• Recognize opportunities for continuous improvement and present recommendations to the Regional Logistics Manager.
• Collaborate with the Regional Logistics Manager and delivery stakeholders to formulate routing strategies.
• Utilize reports and routing technology to identify root causes of service and routing issues, and address them.
• Create, maintain, and manage customer data across various systems.
• Establish and uphold optimal routing details for customers.
• Share best practices and mentor fellow Logistics Planners.
• Collaborate on standards and best practices for new and evolving processes.
• Provide flexible regional support when another Logistics Planner is unavailable.
• Lead and engage in Kaizen and value stream mapping initiatives.
• Apply lean tools, including VSM, Kaizen, and A3, for ongoing process enhancement.
• Adhere to corporate policies and meet applicable quality, environmental, and safety regulations.
• Uphold high safety and ethical standards.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Over 3 years of experience with routing and logistics software, ideally Final Mile.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Robust critical thinking capabilities and/or experience in root cause analysis.
• A sense of urgency and proactive approach.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Teams.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Proven competencies in team building and motivation.
• Capability to enhance processes, conduct root cause analysis, and influence change and people.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A valid driver's license and an acceptable MVR are required.
• Ability to manage stress and navigate complex business situations.
• Willingness to work weekends and evenings as necessary.
• Availability for travel, potentially including overnight stays.
