This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Oversee comprehensive warehousing and secondary transportation operations for the South Branch.
• Direct logistics operations across a multi-state network encompassing approximately 5–6 states.
• Supervise warehouse/CFA operations within the designated geography.
• Identify, assess, and establish warehouses/CFAs based on volume, network needs, service expectations, and cost considerations.
• Enhance warehouse capacity, layout, throughput, workforce allocation, and overall productivity.
• Propel daily operational performance and cost-effectiveness with CFA/3PL partners.
• Guarantee compliance with inventory handling, hygiene, GMP, and relevant food/product safety standards.
• Maintain preparedness for internal, statutory, quality, and global audits.
• Ensure compliance with all necessary licenses, including FSSAI, regulatory standards, and operational processes.
• Manage secondary transportation from depots/warehouses to distributors and customers, involving roughly 200 vehicles.
• Strategize transportation capacity and oversee transporters/3PL partners and fleet allocation.
• Enhance vehicle utilization, transporter performance, turnaround times, and transportation efficiency.
• Optimize routes, loads, and fleet deployment to boost productivity and manage freight expenses.
• Address transportation interruptions and maintain customer service continuity.
• Take ownership of branch logistics expenses across warehousing and transportation.
• Analyze logistics costs and operational KPIs to pinpoint cost inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.
• Lead logistics and warehousing projects, network adjustments, warehouse/CFA establishments, and transportation initiatives.
• Foster continuous improvement through process redesign, automation, digital tools, data utilization, and innovative work methodologies.
• Manage relationships with CFAs, transporters, 3PL partners, and other logistics service providers.
• Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, Procurement, Quality, and other internal teams.
• Tackle operational challenges across the multi-state network while balancing service levels and costs.
• Experience in secondary transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations, preferably in a complex, high-volume distribution setting.
• Solid understanding of secondary transportation and distribution logistics, ideally across a multi-location or regional network.
• Practical experience in transporter management, fleet planning, capacity oversight, vehicle deployment, and transportation cost control.
• Good grasp of warehouse operations, including capacity, layout/design, workforce planning, throughput, and productivity metrics.
• Familiarity with CFA/3PL operations and management of service providers.
• Knowledge of warehouse compliance, GMP, audits, and relevant statutory/regulatory obligations.
• Strong commercial insight and understanding of logistics cost factors and operational KPIs.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven examples of enhancing operational efficiency.
• Capability to manage projects and drive continuous improvement or innovation within logistics operations.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond swiftly to operational challenges.
• MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain, Operations, or Logistics preferred.
• Previous experience in FMCG/food industry is a plus; relevant logistics complexity and scale from similar sectors may also be considered.
• Support for relocation within the country is available.
