Localisation Linguist, Multiple Languages

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of linguistic quality (review, quality control, correction) for translated content in your language(s).

• Assess and provide feedback on the synthesized voice produced by VAANI in your language.

• Collaborate directly with the VAANI team to establish and enhance the methods used for voice generation and evaluation in your language.

• Assist in designing the user experience for linguists on the platform.

• Create and manage the linguistic resources for your language.

• Establish quality benchmarks and turnaround expectations for external vendors and internal speakers.

• Convert linguistic challenges into structured, actionable insights for engineering and product teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in your language, accompanied by strong English skills.

• Formal education or equivalent professional experience in linguistics, translation, or localization.

• Proficient in AI technologies.

• Sufficient technical knowledge to grasp, at a high level, the behaviors and limitations of these models.

• Experience in voice, TTS, or speech evaluation (Nice To Have).

• Familiarity with localization tools, CAT tools, or QA platforms (Nice To Have).

• Knowledge of additional languages (Nice To Have).
