Loan Partner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact and intermediary between clients, the Branch Manager, Branch Sales Manager, and/or designated Loan Originator(s).

• Reach out to all borrowers within 24 hours following the LO appointment, thoroughly review loan applications and other documentation with borrowers, and effectively convey all pre-approval parameters.

• Evaluate and verify the cash, credit, and income qualifications of all borrowers.

• Examine documentation received within 24 hours for any discrepancies, omissions, income calculation verification, asset verification, and Encompass updates based on verified information; promptly inform Loan Originators of any discrepancies found in the documentation.

• Monitor all requested documents within Encompass.

• Communicate any red flags or significant potential issues to the LO or Team Captain (if applicable) and the Realtor partner, ensuring clarity of all required conditions before reaching out to borrowers or third parties.

• Adhere to deadlines (loan documents must be sent to title 3 days prior to closing) while managing multiple assignments/projects.

• Address all payment scenario inquiries.

• Accurately pre-approve all borrowers and support the pre-approval letter with any relevant documents (e.g., Pre-Approval Addendum, completed All About You form, etc.).

• Expedite pre-approval requests when necessary.

• Make a courtesy phone call to the referring Realtor within 24 hours of issuance, ensuring they are fully informed of any significant pre-approval details.

• Provide timely updates to all relevant Realtor partners as needed.

• Precisely onboard all newly received contracts for Rate Lock consultations.

• Promptly submit and disclose the loan application to maintain TRID compliance.

• Deliver exceptional Borrower Tuesday Updates, Pre-Closing, and Funding Calls (if applicable).

• Ensure that 95% of all loans close on time with a daily gauge check to identify and address choke points.

• Participate in weekly pipeline calls to resolve 95% of loan issues before escalating to the LO and ensure that all time-sensitive objectives are achieved.

• Provide outstanding customer service both internally and externally.

• Be available to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• At least 5 years of current experience in conventional fixed and ARM, HELOC, and construction mortgage loan processing or origination.

• Preferred: State and Federal NMLS License.

• Experience in Mortgage Loan Processing.

• Preferred: Familiarity with RESPA and mortgage and consumer lending regulations and loan documents.

• Working knowledge of guidelines from all major investors.

• Experience with Encompass.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

• Proficiency in utilizing text messaging platforms effectively.

• Outstanding prioritization skills to meet established deadlines and KPIs.

• Ability to analyze cash, credit, and income to ensure accurate pre-approval.

• Proficient in DU, LP, Microsoft Office & Windows, with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
