This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +5 more states.
• Building relationships with prospective borrowers by utilizing both company-provided leads and, in some cases, self-generated leads.
• Facilitating the connection between the bank and the borrower throughout the entire mortgage process.
• Ensuring strict adherence to all compliance guidelines.
• Making scheduled calls with consumers to achieve the branch's weekly call-volume expectations and production objectives.
• Participating in and contributing to pipeline meetings and sales team discussions.
• Educating potential clients about the First Lien HELOC product and evaluating their suitability for the loan.
• Conducting interviews with loan applicants, gathering and reviewing financial information, and assessing creditworthiness along with the merits of loan requests.
• Establishing and negotiating the terms under which credit will be granted.
• Preparing materials for loan presentations.
• Taking charge of primary communication with borrowers, organizing the loan file, and determining necessary documentation.
• Maintaining proactive communication with borrowers throughout the mortgage process.
• Analyzing complex files and addressing challenges that arise.
• Informing clients about the bank's underwriting guidelines and relevant government regulations.
• Managing a personal pipeline to align with service standards and branch goals.
• Keeping up with educational requirements and staying informed about relevant laws and products.
• Adhering to all applicable compliance guidelines.
• Maintaining accurate records and loan statuses within branch systems.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in outside mortgage sales and origination, including established contacts and relationships within the targeted market.
• Experience and proven success in proactively seeking new mortgage business.
• At least one year of experience (3+ years preferred) in collecting and analyzing borrower income and negotiating skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all mortgage products and programs.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in standardized software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Open Close experience preferred.
• NMLS License is required.
