
Loan Operations and Treasury – Finance Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Responsible for daily loan accounting tasks, including timely initiation of new loan fundings, loan re-pricings, payment processing, and all other loan-related activities in line with loan and security agreements.
• Conduct daily cash reconciliations and serve as a cash liaison within an external custodian and fund administrator framework.
• Collaborate closely with capital markets and liabilities teams to ensure optimal deal structuring.
• Assist in creating term sheets and negotiating leverage facilities.
• Work alongside teams in Operations, Liabilities, Accounting, Treasury, and Portfolio Management to ensure the accuracy of cash reporting and loan accounting for both borrowers and investors.
• Prepare monthly invoices for borrowers and lenders, ensuring timely receipt and distribution of cash across various cash accounts.
• Calculate and monitor complex interest and fee accruals at different rate levels across fluctuating lender distributions for both assets and liabilities across multiple funds and leverage facilities.
• Execute book, bill, and collect or pay functions utilizing Wall Street Office (S&P Global) investment accounting software to guarantee payments are received in accordance with legal agreements and liabilities are paid from appropriate business entities.
• Maintain and deliver precise data and reports to multiple internal and external departments regarding loan and cash accounting.
• Collaborate with both internal and external fund accountants to ensure assets, liabilities, and cash accounting are reported promptly for seamless monthly and quarterly closures.
• Monitor and report on cash flow forecasting for both assets and liabilities.
• Conduct scenario and risk analyses across exposures.
• Perform accounts payable responsibilities for the credit platform, working closely with the Finance team to ensure timely payment of expenses and to reconcile reimbursable expenses by Borrower with expenses allocated to specific funds.
• Respond to requests from external auditors, providing accurate information for external reporting needs.
• Experience: 2 to 4 years in loan operations within the financial services or banking sector, with the ability to adapt to various roles in a rapidly expanding firm.
• Self-motivated and willing to collaborate across different business units.
• Strong skills in credit risk management and risk assessment.
• Knowledgeable in fund accounting and cash management principles.
• A team player with a positive outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal capabilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Wall Street Office.
