This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.
• Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure while finalizing transactions and managing vendor relationships.
• Draft and assess legal documents related to closings, including mortgages, titles, liens, judgments, contracts, entity documents, and agreements.
• Order, evaluate, and prepare title commitments, searches, and surveys efficiently.
• Review reports and searches provided by external abstractors meticulously.
• Collaborate with Underwriters to assist clients and real estate professionals in resolving all file clearance issues prior to closing to ensure a clear title.
• Calculate, review, and prepare HUD Settlement Statements, Deeds, and Transfer Documents, working closely with clients for effective closing preparation.
• Schedule and facilitate seamless closings, ensuring they are free from errors.
• Oversee the recording of documents with the Title Company and the issuance of title policies upon closing.
• Conduct due diligence to ensure all liens and judgments are resolved and that the title is clear before closing.
• Prepare any necessary endorsements or amendments to the title as required.
• Coordinate with lenders and assemble closing packages.
• Manage disbursement and all post-closing activities, including recordings.
• Conduct follow-up calls regarding escrow and coordinate releases.
• A Bachelor’s degree, or an associate degree combined with relevant work experience, will be considered.
• Ideal candidates will have experience working with a title company, title insurance company, lending platform, or law firm.
• Strong understanding of commercial loan transactional documents, commercial loan structures/terms, and GL accounting.
• Keen attention to process and detail, including recalculations of fees and other related tasks.
• Ability to manage the closing pipeline, CRM, and generate timely and accurate reports while working independently.
• Must possess self-motivation and enthusiasm to meet company objectives.
• Strong organizational skills to retrieve information and documents quickly and efficiently.
• Flexibility to adjust to peak workload periods and high-pressure situations.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Capability to operate under strict and/or tight deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Proficient with technology, especially CRM systems.
