Loads Engineer – Flight Physics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct load calculations necessary for sizing studies of upcoming aircraft or significant modifications.

• Assess component loads, including determining loads on specific elements.

• Possibly execute ground loads calculations for landings, braking, turns, and rollovers.

• Potentially carry out flight loads calculations for longitudinal and lateral maneuvers, load alleviation functions, gusts, and failure scenarios.

• May perform aeroelastics calculations, encompassing flutter calculations and control-surface limit-cycle oscillations.

• Become a member of and contribute to the expanding SAFRAN Engineering Services UK team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering.

• Familiarity with Flight Physics, Flight Loads, Ground Loads, Aeroelastics, and Aerodynamics.

• Comprehension of aircraft behavior and physical principles.

• Proficiency in Python coding (mandatory).

• Experience with Matlab tools.

• Strong capability to plan and schedule tasks across various modules.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly outline expectations and ensure understanding.

• Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate with multicultural teams.
