This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +12 more states.

📋 Description

• Docket independently for a designated assignment group, which may include multiple offices and/or practice groups.

• Review and understand submitted documents to ensure all deadlines are recognized and docketed.

• Examine court and/or agency dockets as necessary.

• Confirm jurisdiction, court/venue, and relevant authorities.

• Validate the accuracy of docketed items and generated deadlines.

• Ensure that timekeepers assigned to matters are accurate.

• Create, review, and distribute precise matter reports.

• Research and appropriately apply statutory, agency, court, and individual judges’ rules and practices.

• Respond in a professional and constructive manner to inquiries from timekeepers and staff regarding docketed dates, agency, and court rules and procedures.

• Work alongside the Litigation Docket Manager to continuously enhance the firm’s docketing best practices, policies, and processes.

• Assist the Docket Team with special projects as required.

• Stay updated on developments, procedures, and rules in courts and agencies relevant to the designated assignment group.


⛳️ Requirements

• A 2-year degree or Paralegal Certificate is required; a 4-year degree in a related field is preferred, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.

• 3-5 years of experience in litigation docketing, with specific experience in using CompuLaw Vision preferred.

• 3-5 years of litigation experience across various federal and state courts that included calculating and calendaring deadlines.

• Strong understanding of litigation processes, court rules, and procedures.

• Proficient knowledge of federal, state, and local court systems, as well as administrative and government agencies.

• Capability to research and apply statutory/agency and/or court rules and procedures for any jurisdiction.

• Ability to utilize Pacer.gov, PacerPro, and other legal resources and websites to access case dockets, rules, and procedures.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, and internet research; ability to prepare, export, edit, filter, sort, search, and reformat large spreadsheets in Excel.

• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and resourcefulness.

• Ability to adapt to change and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
