β’ Manage the distribution of workflow within the litigation department, ensuring cases are appropriately staffed and progressed efficiently.
β’ Oversee and address escalations, intervening to resolve intricate case issues, attorney inquiries, or client concerns.
β’ Conduct performance evaluations for paralegal staff, encompassing goal-setting, providing feedback, corrective actions, and recognition.
β’ Deliver continuous training for Paralegals and Litigation Assistants, equipping staff to effectively manage their own caseloads.
β’ Act as a hands-on resource for team inquiries and daily case support.
β’ Ensure compliance with all firm protocols, policies, and procedures; escalate issues to the Operations Director when necessary.
β’ Train, mentor, and develop Paralegal Team Leads, enhancing their ability to lead effectively and autonomously.
β’ Function as the primary liaison between the paralegal team and firm attorneys, fostering strong working relationships and ensuring clear communication.
β’ Design, develop, document, and continuously enhance litigation department processes and procedures.
β’ Monitor and analyze team metrics; identify trends and provide actionable insights to firm leadership.
β’ Shadow, review, and consult on paralegal candidates during specific phases of the hiring process.
β’ Engage in the onboarding and integration process for new litigation team members.

β’ Adhere to and maintain all firm policies and procedures.
β’ Contribute proportionately to overall client satisfaction and the firm's revenue objectives.
β’ Over 10 years of personal injury litigation paralegal experience β must possess active litigation stage experience; pre-litigation backgrounds will not be accepted.
β’ At least 5 years in a supervisory, team lead, or management position overseeing paralegal or legal operations staff.
β’ Extensive knowledge of state, local, and federal court rules across various jurisdictions.
β’ Proven capability to build, coach, and nurture high-performing teams.
β’ Experience in designing or enhancing litigation workflows, processes, and documentation.
β’ Strong proficiency in e-filing, legal documentation, and litigation management software (experience with SmartAdvocate is a plus).
β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present metrics and outcomes to firm leadership effectively.
β’ Highly organized with the ability to manage workloads and priorities across the department.
β’ Genuine empathy for injured clients and a steadfast client-first mindset.
