Linux Systems Support – Systems Administration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Provides Systems Administration support for an organization, functional unit, or line of business, encompassing responsibilities such as: Administering development, test, and production servers, which includes reloading, re-imaging, and troubleshooting issues.

• Installs, removes, and upgrades software packages on test, development, and production servers.

• Conducts daily monitoring of network systems, proactively initiating measures to ensure optimal functionality, connectivity, and load balancing.

• Troubleshoots system and host environments, identifying and resolving faults, inconsistencies, and systemic issues.

• Assesses, recommends, and implements solutions to maintain system functionality and adherence to company standards.

• Generates network and systems evaluation and operational reports.

• Updates system records to ensure the maintenance of accurate information.

• Ensures that computer programs used within the company are properly licensed, comply with company standards, and remain operational and functional.

• Assists systems users by developing instructional how-to guides and providing technical information and training.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proficient in Linux systems administration.

• Strong skills in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

• U.S. Citizenship and U.S. residency are required.

• This position may necessitate access to export-controlled commodities and technology, hence the applicant must be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
