Linguistic QA Tester – Lithuanian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Review and refine content that has already been translated into your native language.

• Identify and correct any mistakes in the content, including grammar, typos, syntax, punctuation, capitalization, cultural inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and unnecessary spaces between words or characters.

• Occasionally translate material from English into your native language.

• Inspect user interfaces for functional problems.

• Document and report relevant bugs and errors following best practices through the internal database system.

• Possess native language skills and cultural insights pertaining to your home country.

• Exhibit strong oral and written communication abilities.

• Maintain high levels of organization with a keen attention to detail and a dedication to quality.

• Conduct quality assurance on various products by accurately adhering to testing protocols and case scenarios.

• Identify and report defects (bugs) using client-specific tracking tools.

• Assess translations within the context of software, mobile applications, and documentation.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on linguistic matters in the target language, capable of researching and resolving language-related inquiries.

• Comply with project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, as well as client-preferred checklists and glossaries.

• Troubleshoot basic issues; communicate effectively and escalate testing problems when necessary.

• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and on time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited college or university in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to work both onsite and/or at client locations.

• Native-level or fully bilingual fluency (both spoken and written) in the required language(s).

• Current understanding of prevalent technical language usage in the target language.

• Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.

• Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Ability to navigate networks and websites using various browsers.

• Basic knowledge of PC hardware (desktop and laptop).

• Basic understanding of smartphones (iPhone or Android).

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Localization/QA/translation or advanced computer skills.
