Linguist Contractor – French

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Review and refine AI/machine translated documents within Phrase TMS.

• Verify and modify translated content across various formats.

• Consistently apply specified glossaries, style guides, and translation memories.

• Grasp the terminology and preferences of both BTS and the client effectively.

• Proactively identify and report any concerns related to scope, timelines, or quality.

• Adhere to all established project deadlines.

• Collaborate closely with the NAM Translation team on various projects.

• Access and share files through Box.

• Participate in occasional video calls if necessary for large-scale projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a native French (Canada) speaker.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

• Residing in the United States or North America.

• At least 3 years of experience in professional translation, localization, or translation review.

• Capable of working independently and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills, able to convey changes in both English and the target language.

• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.

• Flexible availability to accept work as needed.

• Must maintain confidentiality and comply with data security and intellectual property policies.

• Collaborative mindset and open to communicating with teams when necessary.

• Experience with Phrase TMS is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with corporate training content and/or instructional or eLearning formats is beneficial.

• Knowledge of BTS or similar consulting/learning organization content is also a plus.
