Line Clearance Estimator / Work Planner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Conducts timely and effective audits that appropriately allocate the workload for upcoming crew priorities while upholding operational schedule timelines, ensuring the safety of the crew and employees, and setting deadlines for project completion according to contracted specifications.

• Secures verbal or written consent/notification from property owners, municipalities, or businesses to prune, remove, or apply herbicides to trees.

• Acquires necessary permits when required.

• Coordinates with customers or property owners to gain access and informs them of any potential interruptions if applicable.

• Clarifies the work to be performed and establishes timelines.

• Responsible for maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of all records and reports concerning permission/notification from customers/homeowners to the General Foreperson and crew personnel.

• Plans and organizes work for crew members, taking into account factors such as equipment accessibility, time needed to finish tasks, cleanup duration, available equipment, weather conditions, and specific instructions from customers/homeowners.

• Possesses knowledge of and adheres to all relevant work methods related to line clearance operations.

• Inspects right-of-ways to evaluate vegetation conditions and identify necessary maintenance.

• Addresses questions and concerns related to work specifications and requirements.

• Reviews work completed by crew/contractors to ensure compliance with utility specifications.

• Aids in managing crew/contractors during storm restoration efforts.

• Provides support and assistance on special projects assigned by the utility.

• May be required to work in challenging terrain due to the nature of responsibilities.

• Executes other related duties as assigned or required.

• Maintain a clean driving record to qualify for operating a company vehicle.

• Proficient computer skills are essential for this position.
