This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Lighting Artists play a crucial role in the lighting, rendering, and compositing of shots.
β’ Present shots in a daily review setting.
β’ Communicate effectively about any issues related to their shots.
β’ Deliver high-quality work within established production timelines.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Art, Digital Media, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
β’ Strong understanding of color theory, contrast, and lighting design principles.
β’ Significant production experience in 3D lighting and compositing.
β’ Proficiency in a node-based compositing system (e.g., Nuke) is required.
β’ Experience with global illumination lighting tools such as V-Ray, Arnold, or similar is essential.
β’ Familiarity with Unix and/or Linux is advantageous.
β’ Comfort with, or willingness and capability to learn, Houdini is a plus.
β’ Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail are required.
β’ Ability to collaborate effectively, taking guidance from the Director, Production Designer, Director of Cinematography: Lighting, and Lighting Supervisors.
