Lift Station Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct inspections of wastewater and stormwater lift stations, which includes testing floats and controls, power systems, wet well conditions, safety measures, identifying signs of failure or overflow, and determining repair necessities.

• Propose and implement repairs and enhancements, offering insights to accurately define the required equipment, materials, and workforce.

• Prioritizing safe work practices is essential; the individual must comply with safety protocols, including the inspection and maintenance of driving and equipment, and keep current training to ensure proficiency in job-specific safety measures for confined-space entry, lockout/tagout, and other related practices.

• Utilize smartphone applications for documenting inspections, maintenance activities, timesheets, and expense reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of applicable experience in inspecting and maintaining wastewater conveyance and treatment systems.

• Proficient in inspecting and maintaining pumps, float controls, electrical systems, and associated infrastructure.

• Familiarity with 240- and 440-amp power systems and procedures for confined-space entry.

• Competence in using smartphone applications and cloud-based systems for timesheets and expense reporting.

• Maintain a safe driving record.

• Experience operating a service vehicle, such as an extended cab F250 with an 8’ utility bed.

• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on openness and honesty, along with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
