This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
β’ Oversee and resolve the complete employee exit process across various international jurisdictions, ensuring an exceptional offboarding experience for Remote's clients and their employees.
β’ Offer expert advice and manage client inquiries related to diverse HR issues, including but not limited to termination, resignation and transfer processes, employment contracts, and redundancy procedures, while ensuring legal compliance and adherence to best practices.
β’ Lead and conduct meetings with clients and external employees, encompassing workforce reduction consultation meetings, administrative hearings, negotiations regarding separations and settlements, providing guidance on terminations, and delivering termination results.
β’ Influence and negotiate favorable outcomes in intricate terminations, balancing the interests of multiple stakeholders.
β’ Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to guarantee compliance in offboarding activities and audits, including but not limited to payroll, legal counsel, governmental entities, and trade unions.
β’ Accurately draft, customize, and manage all termination and supplementary documents, ensuring employee records are handled with strict compliance to privacy and confidentiality standards.
β’ Facilitate offboarding on Remote's internal HRIS platform, working with various internal teams such as Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, Time and Attendance, and others, to ensure all facets of the employee exit are managed correctly and efficiently.
β’ Serve as the subject-matter expert, addressing internal and external inquiries regarding all offboarding issues in collaboration with Lifecycle's internal stakeholders.
β’ Guide clients through Remote's Employee Relations resources and guides, aiding them in comprehending applicable policies and processes.
β’ Perform initial assessments of workplace issues, identifying key facts and relevant local regulations.
β’ Work with internal and external stakeholders to guarantee appropriate management of employee relations matters.
β’ Assist clients in grasping progressive disciplinary approaches and documentation necessities.
β’ Monitor ongoing employee relations cases, ensuring timely follow-up and coordination with appropriate stakeholders.
β’ Proactively identify opportunities for and contribute to process enhancements, automation, product development, and overall customer and employee experience within the offboarding and employee relations frameworks.
β’ Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, possessing generalist HR skills and exposure throughout the employee lifecycle.
β’ Demonstrated experience with a solid background in managing both voluntary and involuntary exits (terminations) with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance, along with providing comprehensive HR support and guidance on employment laws and regulations across various jurisdictions.
β’ Capability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, analyze complex HR challenges, conduct research, propose practical solutions, and effectively convey recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders while navigating ambiguous and unfamiliar settings.
β’ Basic understanding of employee relations principles, progressive disciplinary methods, and the fundamentals of workplace investigations.
β’ Exceptional communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently steer challenging discussions to a positive conclusion, often amidst conflicting interests, while maintaining professionalism and strict confidentiality.
β’ Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English, with knowledge of additional languages considered advantageous.
β’ A strong inclination towards innovation and process optimization, continuously identifying and executing opportunities for automation and promoting best practices.
β’ Operational efficiency, recognizing the significance of meticulous record-keeping and data integrity.
β’ Tech-savvy, capable of collaborating asynchronously across various platforms, and adapting to new and evolving systems.
β’ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an international team in a fast-paced, asynchronous, remote environment with multiple priorities. Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
