This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Provide clinically and culturally competent short-term individual and/or group counseling services remotely to SEADC youth, families, adults, and older adults.

• Perform screenings, intakes, and initial assessments for clients while utilizing culturally sensitive practices to establish strong rapport.

• Develop mental health treatment plans to identify the needs and goals of clients, while engaging in ongoing clinical documentation towards those goals.

• Recognize and address crisis situations, including conducting risk assessments and creating safety plans.

• Guarantee that clients receive high-quality, ethical mental health services in alignment with all relevant legal, ethical, state, and Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) guidelines.

• Organize and facilitate community wellness and healing workshops/events, either virtually or in-person, adjusting the delivery to suit budgetary and participant needs.

• Collect and accurately document client and service information in a timely manner.

• Maintain well-organized and precise client case files and records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, funder requirements, and all relevant state and agency policies and procedures.

• Ensure prompt and accurate data entry and reporting in Salesforce, including necessary documentation and reporting for SEADC and external funder portals.

• Collaborate with the Project Coordinator to develop case plans for referrals and services outside the client’s mental health requirements.

• Coordinate care with schools, healthcare providers, and social service agencies when applicable.

• Lead and facilitate the Southeast Asian Clinicians Network (SEACN) to foster engagement and collaboration initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work from an accredited college or university.

• Maintain active licensure and fulfill all continuing education obligations.

• Licensed as an LMFT/MFCC/LPCC/LCSW in California.

• Comply with state, BBS, funder, and agency policies and procedures.

• Uphold ethical standards as established by professional licensing boards.

• Experience working with children, youth, adults, older adults, and/or families from diverse cultural backgrounds and low-income communities.

• Demonstrable experience and knowledge in short-term and preventative counseling, case management, and providing linkage for diverse populations.

• Understanding of crisis intervention techniques.

• Clinical expertise to effectively assess, coordinate, implement, and evaluate all services needed to address client requirements.

• Familiarity with privacy, health, and safety regulations.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Strong interpersonal and time management abilities.

• Capability to work independently.

• Proficient in Microsoft 365 Office applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Experience with data entry and CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.

• Familiarity with project management tools and online communication platforms such as Teams.

• Must be adaptable to new software and technologies and contribute to the development of such systems by providing feedback.
